Dreamed I had a mid-air encounter with a shark. I swore it was eight feet long. Other witnesses remembered a fish a bit less grand.

Returning to the scene where the defeated creature lie dying on the rocky shore, his mythic proportions diminished as we came near. I was fooled. Perhaps a foot and a half if stretched, nose to tail. A curious man opened the belly, and asked “was he a farmer?” when all the fresh produce poured out.

“He’s dying. Leave him in peace.” I pleaded. And the body disappeared, leaving just a shark head. Then the head became a large floret of bright green broccoli with a mouth opening and closing. I woke up and was happy I had finally slept enough to dream.

I dreamed last night that I needed to speak in a situation in which I was alone and the person I had to speak to did not know me or that I had anything wrong.

I was so worried about opening my mouth only to make “uhhh, ahhhh, wuhhhh, mmmuhhh, ehhhhhhhhh” sounds.

For some reason, it was very important that I speak clearly to this person. I concentrated so excruciatingly hard, focusing and drawing all my energy to the muscles of my mouth.

I fully expected to only hear my usual non-verbal braying. And at first the words were just fat globs of blubbery sound, but as I continued, the words began to take shapes… my mouth was in control… my speech became beautiful.
